About me: Tracy Parish is an award-winning eLearning developer, instructional designer, speaker, trainer, and consultant based in the Greater Toronto Area. A lifelong learner with a unique blend of expertise in computer programming, adult education, and eLearning design and development, Tracy has built a career focused on creating meaningful, effective learning experiences. With more than 20 years of experience spanning instructional design and development, LMS implementation and administration, and project management, Tracy is a respected voice in the learning and development community. She is a frequent conference speaker, an active Articulate Community Hero, and the co-host of both the Toronto Storyline User Group and the webcast Nerdy Shop Talk.

About me: Teresa loves to hop on a paddleboard or get in a good game of pickleball. When not on the board or the court, you can find her hanging out up north sitting on a rock having a cup of tea along the Burnt River. At work, she is constantly exploring the world of simulation, scenarios, and virtual reality, which keeps the learning opportunities alive.

About me: Mike Bubyn, MSc. IPT, CTDP, is a senior learning advisor with over 20 years of experience in performance management and technology enablement. Mike specializes in technology enablement and upskilling, leveraging his Master’s from Boise State and "vibe coding" innovation to bridge the gap between complex organizational needs and elegant, high-impact learning solutions.

About me: Pauline is a technical education and communication specialist, with a passion for helping people understand and use technology. She has a Bachelor of Education from the OISE, and a certificate in Adult Learning from Seneca College. Outside of work she can be found in an arena playing hockey, or on a lake paddleboarding. She’s also a writer (with one published story under her belt and more in progress), film aficionado (with an M.A. in Film Studies to prove it), and lifelong reader of comics and science fiction/fantasy.

In her spare time, you’ll find her roaming the woods and waterside looking for wonderful things to capture with her camera. About me: Sarah is a seasoned instructional designer and content developer who is passionate about sharing experiences with other designers and developers. She has over 20 yrs of experience in adult learning complimented by 15 yrs of experience creating innovative eLearning solutions for healthcare professionals. Sarah shares her knowledge internationally and volunteers her expertise to not-for-profit organizations; her courses are currently engaging learners on 6 continents. Sarah has now turned her attention to discovering the delights of mixed reality simulations, deepening her research and application of virtual simulations over the past 3 years.

About me: Karen is a strategist who executes, drawing on a career that spans hands-on instructional design, national advisory roles, and three years on the planning committee for LearnX, the Government of Canada’s largest annual L&D conference. Having helped scale that event to over 2,000+ public servants, she knows that time is the one resource you can’t get back. She applies that same critical eye to this team, ensuring this conference delivers the kind of practical, high-impact insights that justify the inbox pile-up waiting for you when you return. Karen moved to the Canadian Rockies seven years ago to live the mountain dream. She is currently "learning" to ski (please don't ask about her form) and just started trail running because apparently, regular running wasn't hard enough (please give her all the survival tips).

About me: For more than 35 years, Mark has benefitted from being immersed in a rich milieu of working environments. This experience includes leadership and senior individual contributor roles across private-, public-, and defence-sector settings. He has a long-standing focus on innovation in L&D, and transforming & modernizing workplace learning environments. An accomplished speaker, he has shared his experiences with audiences in Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, and SE Asia. Mark also served in the Canadian Forces (Reserve) for 14 years. He holds certificates in Adult Training and Development, Human Resources Management; a Diploma in Graphic Communications; and a Master’s Degree in Learning and Technology.
